This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
We currently have 15 talented young ladies trying to enhance their volleyball skills to compete in an competitive sport. These young energetic ladies love the sport and are committed to becoming better athletics and students on and off the court. Most of the young ladies have never played volleyball, and this will be a
challenge for them.
The coaches are very committed to rebuilding the team, and the program. My players are looking forward to a great season, and thank you for your support.
My Project
Our objective is to rebuild the varsity volleyball program. We do not have adequate equipment and uniforms for the athletics to practice or participate in any official game. The materials listed will support the young ladies in their athletic training, and build up our volleyball program. The volleyballs and the other equipment will allow the athletes to have a successful practice and be more competitive in games. The knee pads will provide protection, and eliminate most of our knee injuries. The shorts will enhance our old uniform tops. The supplies will make the young ladies feel like they are part of an varsity team, and enhance their self esteem on and off the court. (also building values) Overall, the young ladies will enhance their knowledge and abilities as an individual.
