My students have a variety of abilities and talents. Each student is unique and different as they come into the classroom, ready to do their best. They all love to learn throughout the day while finding ways to have fun, too! My students come to school from different types of homes but in our classroom, we are a family on a mission to be ready, be respectful and be safe as we grow and learn! Our classroom is a very happy and positive place to be and it's an amazing place to work and learn everyday!
My Project
Our Girls on the Run team meets and hold practices twice a week for 10 weeks and end with a 5K race. Our team needs Tally Sticks lap trackers to help motivate our girls to reach and exceed their running mileage goals.
Our Girls on the Run program helps our girls learn and grow socially and emotionally, while focusing on fitness via movement to get ready for our 5K.
These resources will help our girls feel a sense of accomplishment as they collect these running tally sticks and meet their goals for the miles they run. Each lap they complete, they will get one tally stick. Each practice the girls are encouraged to collect more tally sticks than the practice before. As we prepare and train for our end of the season 5K race, these will help the girls keep track daily of the amount of laps they complete to get closer to the 3.1 mile mark.
