Help me give my students costumes to help them shine on stage in our school's holiday production of The Nutcracker! You'll be helping our little ones transform into dancing Gingerbreads and Sugar Plums!
I teach at a Title I school in Raleigh, NC, where learning revolves around the idea of "Play." Our students are eager to learn in creative ways, and we are so fortunate to have a variety of art classes for them to explore. Our school lacks the funding to be able to provide extra materials for our art classes that will help take our learning experiences and performances to the next level.
The students that I am fortunate enough to have walked into my classroom are bright boys and girls and are full of creative ideas.
In my classroom, students are able to communicate, collaborate, and create all while utilizing critical thinking skills and learning more about the art form of dance. They come in each day ready to take chances and learn new things, and they surprise me each and every day!
My Project
These costume items/props will help the dancers feel confident on stage and help them to put on the most successful show possible! Dancers always love having costume items/props to help them shine on stage, and they get them even more excited about their performance. Costume items/props also help communicate the story better to the audience, and make the experience more exciting and enjoyable for all!
This is becoming an annual tradition for our school, so these costumes will delight children for years to come!
