My students need 6 Lenovo laptops to allow us to conduct research for problem based learning projects and for the technology portion of STEM projects.

My Students

My classroom is a resource room with students from kindergarten through fourth grade throughout the day. These students have been identified as gifted students and come to this room to receive gifted services. These students are enthusiastic and creative thinkers who are eager to work on challenging projects. Our school has a high population of gifted students. I am constantly trying to come up with projects that will foster their unique talents and provide the rigor they need to continue to develop and grow.

My Project

Having these laptops will allow us to complete the research needed for many of the different projects we do. With the upcoming Olympics my second graders are currently doing an Olympic project where they have chosen a country and sport to follow through the Olympics. The laptops would allow them to research the country in depth and also keep up with the latest information on the athletes competing.

Research is the third goal in the gifted framework, without regular access to technology, it makes it almost impossible to incorporate that goal.

I chose Lenovos laptops to allow even my youngest students the ability to use them because of their touch screen feature.
