My students are athletes, writers, readers, and artists. They love to give. When I first met my students, several told me they didn’t read, but each one found a book they enjoy. Students are not expected to come to school with supplies. My students live in the poorest county in the state of Michigan, according to a recent Detroit Free Press article. Many of these students travel to school by bus. They come from very diverse backgrounds.
I called a parent, and the first thing he said was thank you so much for loaning my son that book that he won't put down.
My students are currently learning from home. This project is intended to get snacks and fun projects into the hands of my students.
My Project
This project includes treats and supplies for fifth grade students who have been learning remotely since last March. It contains craft projects lined sticky notes, fine markers, and snacks for the entire class.
Please help me send my students goodies and gifts before the year ends.
The lined sticky notes are perfect for differentiated instruction on phonics. They are also perfect for taking notes during silent reading. It would bring great joy to these students if they could receive some fun crafts and some delicious snacks before the holidays. When you stand with my students they really feel your support.
