Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach gifted students in grades K-5 at Geraldine Boudreaux Elementary School in Terrytown, La. Since Hurricane Katrina our school has been trying to provide an excellent educational experience for our students. We are currently double-housed with another elementary school due to damage from the storm. I am requesting a Dell XP@ 400 desktop computer so that I might provide our gifted students more challenging computer-based activities. This model computer comes with a 19 inch monitor that would facilitate small group instruction. My students enjoy doing Powerpoint activities and would also like to be able to do webcam communications as well. We currently do not have that ability. This computer would allow us to continue to rebuild our school as well as to enhance our students' educational opportunities. Thank you for considering my request.
