Getting us Closer to 1:1 Technology with Chromebooks
My students need Chromebooks to get them closer to 1:1 technology in the classroom.
Ready and eager to learn is how I would describe my students! They know when they walk into the classroom door, they are able to put on their thinking caps and explore their academic growth.
We are a Title I school where 70% of our population benefit from free or reduced-price lunch.
My students benefit from the weekend backpack program where they are sent home with a backpack of food for the weekend. Even though our students face many hardships, they are always ready to learn!
In today's times, the knowledge and use of technology is becoming pertinent. Everywhere you go, you will see technology. Giving our students the chance to utilize 1:1 technology in their everyday academics is one of the best gifts we can give them.
Having 1:1 technology in the classroom will give my students an advantage in order for them to do independent research, study for their tests through the use of Kahoot, and the ability to complete assignments I assign to them.
Most of our students do not have access to a computer and or internet at home, so having a computer for each student in the class will help with this!
One last benefit of 1:1 technology is that I can give my struggling students enhancement work in order to catch them up in skills they are lacking, while assigning my high achieving students independent projects to work on when they are done with their work.
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
