My students are a vibrant bunch. Every morning they come to school enthusiastic about learning. They get excited to see each other, work together, and be successful.
The best part about my class is that they are all the best of friends.
They would do anything for one another. Whether it is helping with spelling a word, a math problem, or a friend problem, each and everyone will always have each other's back. If someone gets teased, they problem-solve together to make sure it doesn't happen again. Their willingness to accept each other and to always be friendly is inspiring.
These five Chromebooks will make a difference in student learning. Each and every day, our fifth graders are challenged with keeping up with modern technology. Our state tests are now given on the computer. This is exciting, but a lot of my students don't have access to a computer at home.
Their standardized test scores will be compared to students across the state who might have access to a computer daily, and eventually, they will be compared to students across the country (and world) when applying to colleges and careers.
It is essential that we expose the children to technology as much as possible so they are prepared for college and careers in this competitive technological world.
