Getting the Wiggles Out

My students need three Hokki Stools to use during whole group instruction, small group instruction and independent work time to help them move around in an appropriate way.

My Students

Do you ever feel like you just can't sit still? I have students that are on the move all the time. I would like to give them an outlet for that energy while they work.

We are a class of 25 busy Kindergarteners.

Our brains are being challenged all day long. We are a school that values each of our students for their individual talents and make every effort to provide any kind of support we can. Some of our students struggle with the rigor of the classroom and while we have frequent brain breaks throughout the day, the wiggles continue during work and instruction time.

My Project

The Hokki stools would be a great asset to the classroom. These stools wiggle in all directions without the threat of tipping over. I would be able to use them during whole group instruction, small groups, or at an individual student desk. These stools would help my students that need continual movement to do so in an appropriate way that would not be distracting to others.

The Hokki stools would help to improve instruction time for students that have the "wiggles".

The students would be able to move in a way that is appropriate to the classroom and allow them to listen to instruction or work on assignments without having to get up and walk around the room.
