My students need a Tech Tub charging station for our iPads! We are also seeking headphones so that we can access videos and other digital content without disturbing other students.
My students attend a very small rural school that has very little access to technology. Through Donor's Choose, we acquired 6 iPad minis a few years ago. My students LOVE them! We use them everyday for so many things. As wonderful as these devices are, keeping them charged and always has become a problem.
Students in my classroom have a wide variety of needs.
Being able to utilize iPads to supplement instruction would benefit all of them. The charging station and headphones are needed to ensure that we can do just that!
My Project
We truly need a place for our iPads to call home.
Having a charging station and headphones would allow my students to get the most benefit from the little technology we do have.
The "Tech Tub" will allow us to have all of our technology in one place as well as fully charged and ready for use! Many of the updates must be installed while the device is plugged in. A station such as this can update all devices at once, rather than individually, which would save time.
We will also have a way to LOCK up our devices when we are not in the classroom as an added security measure.
In addition to the charging station, we have also asked for six pair of headphones to use with the iPads we already have. Having these headphones will ensure that using the iPads won't disturb others students in the classroom.
