Mrs. Harrell from Kinston NC is requesting books through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need books about the math topics they will be learning and LapDesk so they can sit on the floor and easily get their work done.

I am teaching two groups of fourth-grade students at a title one school. There is a wide range of learning levels between the two classes. I have some students that are identified with a learning disability, while other students are identified as gifted. Each child comes from a different background, but most come from a low-social economical lifestyle. Regardless of their background, they come to school and try their best to learn.
Our classroom is a safe place, where they are asked to try their very best and that is what they do each and every day.
My goal for each of my students this year is for them to grow and become proficient in the 4th grade math common core standards.
These materials will help my students become successfully mathematics. Instead of just hearing me talking about the math topics, they will be able to see them happening in the stories, in the Math Library, these books will provide. The stories will allow my students to gain an insight to each topic that they would be able to without them.
My students work hard and deserve to have the opportunity to sit on the floor while they read these math stories or work on math problems.
The LapDesks will provide my students with the chance to sit on on of our beanbag chairs or on the floor. Even a 4th graders needs to get our of the desk and sit in a different setting.
