Third grade is awesome!!! The kids are old enough that we can do a lot of fun things together, but they're still young enough that they love school and they love learning. They bring an energy that creates a wonderful classroom culture.
Each year, my students come to school with a broad range of needs.
There are a few who still need to learn how to tie their shoelaces, some who struggle to read at grade level, and a some who have a hard time focusing on the tasks at hand. There are also students who are academically exceptional and in need of extra challenges. This year, our class is comprised of a wide variety of abilities and personalities that are eager to get smarter and have fun.
My Project
The materials in my project will all be used to provide students specific support that they need. The books will enhance student learning by offering a print-rich classroom. The headphones will allow students to access computer learning that meets their diverse needs. The whiteboard markers will allow them to work through their thinking and change their ideas with ease.
My classroom library is a place that my students really enjoy-I read stories to them, they read independently there, and they even like to complete their work there!
Every student book that is placed in my library is treated with love and care, and students are thankful for the opportunities to read. Students will be able to choose books that pique their interest, from a selection of award-winning and age-appropriate books.
