Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My 50 third graders are energetic and loving eight and nine-year-old boys and girls. Every day, my students come to school with smiles on their faces and are eager to learn. In our classroom, we love to have fun and practice character values such as kindness, compassion, and creativity. Most of my students come from low-income households and are learning English.

Technology in the classroom amplifies everyday learning!

My young students are at a crucial and pivotal age in which they are still developing the foundations of language and knowledge that will determine what type of readers and learners they will be in the future. As their teacher, I give them 110 percent every day. Students will use these three laptops to check their comprehension skills on books they read using the online program Accelerated Reader.

By having two new laptops in the classroom, students will be able to utilize online resources that will enhance their learning.

In addition, students who do not have access to laptops at home will be able to use these laptops to complete any online homework they may have. With these laptops and the use of i-Ready, students become excited, and motivated, and are exposed to online, personalized instruction and practice that challenges them and helps all students achieve higher levels of proficiency and academic success.
