My Students

I have 20 students in my first grade class. They are such a smart, creative, and active group of kids. I am blessed to be able to teach them every day.

My school is a Title One school, which means most of our students are on free or reduced-priced lunch.

Many of our kids do not have the best home life, so our school is their security and they rely upon us every day.

We are also a school of the arts. This means we have Drama, Dance, Music, P.E., and Art as their specials. We also incorporate all of these elements into our daily lesson plans. It would not be unusual for you to walk into my classroom and hear my students rapping about double facts and acting out prepositional phrases. I would not want to work anywhere else!

My Project

I’m asking for three fire tablets to use during stations. These tablets will be used to download literacy and math apps. The students will each get their own tablet during stations to work on phonics and math skills.

Students will also use these tablets for our research projects.

Our next unit in plant research will be greatly benefited through the use of these tablets. The students will be able to research adaptations, structures, and the environment of their plant.

My students and I would be so grateful for these materials. Thank you for taking the time to help our students achieve greatness through the grant Let’s Get Teachy With It.
