The students at C.P. Elementary are scientists, artists, engineers, and mathematicians. Each day in their classrooms, they are having their minds expanded with concepts of STEAM learning. I believe that STEAM education should continue into the library and allow for students to receive a comprehensive learning experience.
Our library is more than just books- it's a center for learning, socializing, inventing and being creative.
My students already love to come to the library for engineering challenges during recess, picking up books before school and for library time that includes STEAM activities. They are ready to step up to the exciting challenge of Lego creations within their library!
My Project
Here at C.P. Elementary, we are always striving to provide a comprehensive STEAM education experience to our students and the library is no different! I would like to create a STEAM-based experience that touches the library and allows for students to create, learn and socialize with other learners within the library space.
A Lego Wall will help to allow these students to create and learn more about STEAM within our library.
The materials that are in this project are to allow for me to create a Lego Wall. Each of these pieces will be put together to allow for a learning experience that is unique and school-wide. The possibilities are endless for our young engineers when they are able to apply their knowledge in a creative way!
