My students need activities that will help them build their reading and math skills such as math practice cards, comprehension activity books, vocabulary cards, and sentence strips.
I am a new teacher this year in a 4th and 5th grade Autism classroom. Each of my students are very unique and I want to be able to provide them with unique educational opportunities.
I work with a fun and energetic group of 4th and 5th grade students.
My students each have varying abilities of Autism; therefore, they learn in many different ways. Keeping learning new and exciting is important for these students. They are an inquisitive bunch!
My Project
I am requesting materials that will help the students learn and build upon basic academic skills such as comprehension, vocabulary, and math. The requested materials include items such as math practice cards, comprehension activity books, vocabulary cards, and sentence strips. These students all learn in different ways and I want to be able to provide them with a variety of materials to make them successful.
These students attend a high-poverty school where consistent attendance is a main goal.
Most come from low-income homes and are living in uncertain home situations. Many times school is the most consistent piece of their life. They come to school with positive attitudes and are ready to learn. It is important to me to build a safe and fun environment for these amazing children. We work everyday on building an environment where they can be happy, engaged in learning, and have positive interactions.
