Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Transitional Kindergartners and Kindergartners come from diverse ethnic and racial backgrounds around the Bay Area! My students love to explore, discover, and learn! They always want to know more! They ask many questions, they talk a lot, they are curious, and so much more! I want to fill their little heads with tons of knowledge and the love for always wanting to learn more!
Most of my students are English Language Learners and the majority of our students qualify for the free and reduced price lunch program.
My Project
I want to do more STEM in my classroom and I believe that having the right materials will help me achieve this with my students! All year long and especially at the beginning of the year, we are exploring what are letters, playing with different materials, learning what our body can do, and discovering!
The alphabet books will help us read and have visuals to learning the alphabet.
The felt board series will help us explore some of their favorite places with engaging storytelling sets. The activity mats will help my students with gross motor skills, coordination, and physical fitness! The STEM journals will help us record their progress through many STEM projects!
