Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I work as a special education teacher in a low-income, high-poverty school district. My students are faced with numerous challenges both in and out of the classroom. I have the privilege to teach from grades kindergarten through fifth. I try to provide my students with all the necessities in the class.

My students love to laugh and tell jokes to one another and start laughing before they even tell the punchline and then you can hear an echo of laughter ring throughout the classroom.

My students work super hard and are excited to learn!

My Project

I have had the pleasure of having most of my students since kindergarten in the same self-contained classroom. Sadly, next year they will be moving on to Middle School. My savvy scholars are all hardworking and dedicated to learning which makes my job so much easier.

I would like to give my students beautiful graduation and supply them with a cap and gown to celebrate their success and achievements.

Please help me provide my graduating students with an end-of-the-year class celebration they will never forget. Thank you for all your support.
