Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My typical day in the classroom includes seeing many teens interested in learning the art of cooking and hospitality service. My favorite quote is "If you love what you do you never work a day in your life." This quote relates to my project because I can see the love of cooking in my students.
My students are young and hopeful people interested in a career and the skills of the culinary arts.
That is where I come in. I show them a world in cooking that they have never experienced. Every year I have students entering and exiting the culinary program at our school with new found knowledge. My students leave my class with a new appreciation and gratitude for what the restaurant and hospitality industries do every day.
My Project
My students need aprons and timers for the competition. The resources I am asking for will be used by my students in preparation and go time for our state competition which they have worked so hard for. My students practice almost every day trying to perfect any little thing they can. They are hopeful and your donation would help them accomplish their goals.
Your donations will help improve my classroom by giving my students the tools they need to succeed.
Receiving these supplies will greatly benefit my students by allowing them to compete with other students and allow them to express their culinary skills. I do not have a typical classroom; mine is more hands-on. My students and I need your help to make them successful.
