My Students
My students from Miami Shores are part of a Track and Field program that allows them to express their athletic abilities. This program gives student-athletes from all cultures, areas, and various incomes an opportunity to learn teamwork and achieve athletic honors. My diligent, enthusiastic, and coachable athletes enjoy competition with other schools, as well as, making new friends in the process. The skills that they learn in practice and competitition will prepare them for adversity and anything life throws at them.
They love competing and seeing their hard work payoff.
I am really proud of this team and all the work they put in to becoming the best they can be.
My Project
The use of track specific equipment is necessary to any developing young HS athlete. There are many practices each year where the implementation of equipment is used. Each year we have been adding events specific to a track competition. Specifically, the field events such as javelin, shot put and discus are events that we have had some new found success with our athletes. However, equipment has been hard to come by at our school in regards to these events.
By donating these equipment pieces to our season, you will not only help to improve and increase athletic performance, you will ultimately help to increase their chances of going to a state championship.
Athletes will be able to simply be able to train better with better equipment as a resource.
