My Students

I teach in a performing arts school filled with talented and hardworking students. The students balance their academic studies and their arts in such a mature and impressive way. They are passionate, driven, and curious. I teach 9th, 10th, and 11th graders.

My ninth graders' excitement to learn is contagious and my 10th/11th graders' dedication to their future goals is inspiring.

We spent the last school year learning our academics completely online. While we are excited to come back in September, it will definitely be a big adjustment for everyone! I am looking to make their transition as easy and comfortable as possible.

My Project

The last time my math students were in a physical math classroom was in March 2020. At that point, our laptop was struggling to turn on in the morning and often shut off on us mid-lesson. As this year is going to be a big transition for our students, it's important to not let technology stand in our way!

I want to make sure the technology in our classroom ADDS to our lessons and doesn't slow us down.

This laptop will allow that to happen. I will be able to display videos, visuals, and simulations that can help the students master our content.
