This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

To empower my students with a feeling of independence, ownership, and a love of writing, I would like to provide my students with their own tote bag containing a journal and nice fine-point markers.

They will use their journal for literacy activities in class and be able to take their first journals with them at the end of the school year to continue their journaling over the summer.

My students are very eager to be 'big kids' and embrace kindergarten, and this is one way we can support them on their journey.
