I teach Pre-K, ages 3 to 5 years. All of my students have overcome adversities or live with trauma or a special need. Most of my students live in poverty. I have many students that live with foster families or have open DCFS cases. I individually try to bond with each family and put my best foot forward to get them the intervention services they need.
My students are a blessing to me because each one has a special place in my heart.
I believe these students will achieve their goals in life through education and have bright futures. I set individual goals for each student. I focus many of my lessons on science and math. These students are very young, and it is up to me to set their educational foundations.
My Project
These materials will be utilized outdoors for learning how to keep our bodies in shape through exercise!
We will use the air pump to keep all our balls inflated throughout the school year while we learn new games.
The other balls will be used to jump on around our play pad to promote strength and growth! Keep moving will be set in motion and children will learn how to throw footballs through hoops, aim at a target, and catch with both hands! Teamwork will be taught be learning rules of our tag football game. Plans will also be made to ensure safe play and setting individualized goals for each student!
