This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are language-learners from diverse backgrounds who are excited about learning! They love to listen to audio books and teacher-created lessons and love to play while they build skills and independence. We are lucky to use Seesaw and Schoology and both learning systems allow students to use and create videos as part of their learning experiences. Teachers often assign lessons with specific audio/video directions to help students practice specific skills.

A few new headphone sets for each classroom will provide replacements for students who need them, whether for short- or long-term use, so that they can complete lessons and learning.

Many of our students have headphones that aren't made for daily use. They short out and make it hard to hear lessons. With new headphones, students will be able to complete independent lessons at their exact levels with more ease, since they will hear voice prompts better and block out distractions. Students will be able to hear their own recordings with more clarity so they will be more proud of their work.

While such a simple and basic supply, headphones make so much of our individualized and digital learning possible. We look forward to plugging in new headphones so we can tackle even more great learning projects!
