This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our school is an exceptional Title I school with exceptional students. Their motivation to push themselves to gain as much knowledge as possible is inspiring. We are a small town in Louisiana. Like most schools, we feel the struggle of not having the funds that could help get our students to the next level, boost their interests, and keep them involved in a fun way.
Our school is composed of Pre-K through 5th grade students.
We have 100% free breakfast and lunch. My students are preparing to be successful in a technology driven society. They have goals, dreams, and aspirations for this school year. I know that they can accomplish anything, but it is my hope to make sure they have all the needed resources to do that!
My Project
These materials will be used everyday in our classroom. For items such as the white boards and expo markers we use everyday in our classroom routine. Students use these materials to quiz each other, challenge themselves, and sometimes they are used as answer boards for some exciting games. Anything I can do to step away from worksheets and make the material a little "out of the box" I found helps keep my students engaged throughout the lesson.
Everyone deserves a clean environment.
The cleaning materials will be used to help keep our classroom environment the clean place every student deserves. We use these items frequently, especially during flu session. The seating options will be for those students who may need a tiny break or as a reward seating option.
