As a teacher in a low-income school district, some of my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the challenges, they continue to greet me with a smile every morning and show up eager to learn. They are motivated and want to be successful students; they just need the right opportunity. Every student in my classroom is unique and has something to contribute to our classroom. Thank you for supporting these awesome students!
My Project
Our classroom needs more storage options! We currently have see-through shelves to store our supplies and materials. This area seems to always get messy and disorganized when we are constantly taking materials to and from the shelves. Getting one piece of construction paper can turn our supply area into an eyesore. We are asking for a shelf to store materials and organize our shelves in our classroom. Our classroom library is also overflowing with books due to the small bookcase we currently have. A bookcase would keep our classroom library neat and organized.
Another file organizer and a binder to store task cards will help us not only to be more organized, but make our classroom look tidier and create a calmer environment for us to work in.
As it is now, we often spend too much time searching for the materials we need.
