My students need to have the basic resources so that they can fill orders coming into the Care Closet. Having organization tools to help as well as the discreet bags to then collect will be perfect!
Last fall our school started a new initiative that brought awareness of the issues of food Insecurity as a national issue as well as a local issue in our schools. This opportunity to learn, grow, and care as a community has inspired our students and staff to do more.
Our high school has created a Care Closet for our student population.
This is a FREE resource provided for our students with items that they may not be able to afford or purchase on their own. While this would be offered to all students, the intent is to share these items and resources with students and families that truly cannot purchase them on their own.
In order to organize and set the Care Closet up and keep it running, we need your help!
My Project
Giving students a chance to do good during their school day will allow the ripple effect of good deeds to make their way throughout our hallways!
In order for orders to be filled in the Care Closet, students will need some materials to keep themselves organized and establish a system that works for them.
Moreover, in order to support the anonymity of the project, we need sturdy bags that will allow our students to pick up their orders and bring them out of the building without drawing extra attention to themselves. It is our hope that moving forward, we may be able to have a community partner that can assist with this need.
