Every day I am blessed to work in my classroom where I get to help enrich the lives of my students. Teaching them real world experiences while having fun and peeking their interests is a fun challenge that I get to experience every day.
All student are unique in their abilities and I love to see where it can take them.
My students come everyday with a hunger and excitement to learn. I want to foster that hunger and drive their passion for learning. I want to teach them about things that they may not get to experience. I also want them to be lifelong learners.
My Project
Kids have a caring nature about them and what better way to nurture this then by having a fish tank in our classroom. I would like to assemble a saltwater tank in my classroom with the help of my students.
Students will get to learn about how important an environment is as we set up a tank for marine animals.
As we move through the school year, my students will play an active role in feeding, cleaning, and caring for our fish and its habitat. This will also open up a new world for students who otherwise may not get to experience a saltwater habitat like this.
In order to assemble the tank there are supplies that we, as the class need. I have partnered with my local Petco store and they have helped me to assemble a list of supplies needed. I will need to upgrade the filter for my tank along with purchasing some live rock, marine salt, crushed coral, testing strips, air pump, tank heater, along with a few other tools to ensure the stability of a saltwater tank. Once we have the perfect habitat we will get our clown fish, Nemo!
