Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have been a 4th-grade teacher for seven months! This is my first year of teaching. I look for guidance and inspiration through professional development. Nothing can prepare for the classroom except the classroom and now that I have some experience, I know the expectations. I want to go above and beyond for my students because they DESERVE it.
In order for my students to reach their potential, I need to reach mine so I can be my best for THEM!
My students are a diverse group and I want to be able to teach them in a variety of engaging and memorable ways!
My Project
Get Your Teach On is an immersive 4-day experience where teachers from around the country come together to learn engaging, hands-on, and exciting lessons to bring back to our classrooms and campus. This event is put together by a real teacher for real teachers! This event was designed to be adaptable to specific grade levels. I will get to see real and applicable lessons for real 4th graders!
Teachers leave this event feeling re-energized and ready to take on their students and provide high quality and memorable lessons!
I know that through this event, I will leave feeling reaffirmed as an effective teacher who goes above and beyond for her students.
