My students need materials to complete an Environmental Science project such as ink pads, follow the dots stamps, and 30 picture-story composition books.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
With the world steadily becoming more earth-conscious, schools are seeking ways to best "Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle". My students have been learning about ways they can better the environment. With your help, we can conclude our Environmental Science Unit with a fun and engaging activity.
I teach second grade at a public school in an urban city in Maryland.
My class for the upcoming 2014-2015 school year will consist of 26 students, 16 boys and 10 girls. These students are considered advanced as they are performing above grade-level expectations. I look forward to meeting them in the fall and to challenging them to achieve higher academic gains.
My Project
With the materials that I am requesting, my students will demonstrate what they have learned about earth conservation by creating Eco-books. My students will use the picture-story composition books to write their stories in. The ink pads and follow the dots stamps will be used to decorate the books and make them more visually appealing. Once the books have been completed, our class will partner with other second grade classes so that they can share their books with peers and persuade them to help preserve the planet too.
By supporting this project, you will be helping our class to be more green!
You will help my second graders do their part to improve our planet. I look forward to utilizing these supplies with my students and reading their Eco-books. We thank you in advance for helping us be more "earth-friendly".
