My Students
My students are wonderful children who thrive on learning. Our school prides itself on being a school that promotes leadership and pushes our students to be leaders in and out of school. Most of our student population is from low socioeconomic areas, and we push them to achieve. They have massive dreams that they strive to reach, and they love being silly kids. Their favorite things are recess, read alouds, and any types of games in the classroom. We are a classroom community that loves to work together, and we all strive to hit our goals!
My Project
My classroom is missing several basic needs. We don't stay at our desks all day, especially with COVID, and we need a way to continue our work while moving around. The clipboards will be a wonderful asset to our room. We will use these during small groups, and partner groups. We will also have more flexibility for doing work outside if we have clipboards. I have several children without scissors, which makes cutting our sorts out each week tricky. Having a class set will eliminate that problem. It's also great to have a permanent marker for each student so they can label all of their supplies. This is really important this year, with the pandemic going on.
