My students are true, twenty-first century learners that do not fit into the preconceived notion of what learners should look and act like. They want to move, collaborate, explore and create! It is my goal to transform our space into one that fosters and encourages their desires for learning.
My students are always eager to try something new which never ceases to amaze me.
They have risen to every challenge and far exceeded my already high expectations with their energy, excitement, passion and drive. I want to continue to push the limits and provide them with the best education available.
My Project
Other than some floor cushions and carpeting my students only seating options are outdated metal chairs. They are mismatched and many are the wrong size for first graders. These chairs are uncomfortable and break on a daily basis.
The students have responded so well to the addition of floor cushions this year that I would like to create even more options for them.
This project will enable us to add about 10 more seating options to the class! With the addition of so many more options students will be able to find a comfortable position in which to work and learn.
