This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Although I have not met them yet, I am excited to engage these students in my first year of teaching. These students will have varying experiences, learning abilities, interests, strengths, and weakness. With this project, I hope to foster a community of learners that is safe, flexible, comfortable, and differentiated.
Choice and flexibility are essential to the students' learning.
Third graders are on the cusp of change and need to start practicing their increasing independence and collaboration with their peers.
My Project
The wobble chairs and floor seats will maximize the learning capacities of students. Wobble chairs will cater to an active child and an active learning environment. These furniture items will open the opportunity for different types of instructional implementation. These furniture items are portable and allow for several meeting arrangments that can be appropriate for many learning experiences.
Flexible seating will allow students to reach their personal academic goals.
Students will not be limited to their desks but can work on the floor independently or in small groups. Finally, these items will make the classroom a comfortable place where students will be inspired to learn.
