My classroom is filled with 19, young, energetic little learners that explore their learning environment on a daily basis. However, at a given time, all 60 4K students share my same learning environment.
These energetic, little learners have a unique schooling experience.
They start in our district when they are 4 and stay under the same roof until they graduate high school.
Students are from a small rural town just north of a major metropolitan area in Wisconsin.
Overall, my students are lively, respectful, and genuinely care for each other. They come to school each day with a new desire to learn.
My Project
Dr. Seuss once said, " You can find magic where ever you look. Sit back and relax, all you need is a book." No truer words could be spoken than these and I want to help my students see the value of getting lost in a comfortable spot in the pages of a book.
In today's world, some of our little learners miss out on opportunities to have their hands on high-quality books for a variety of reason, and I do not want that for the 4K students that travel through my classroom.
By providing these books, modeling my love of the books, and a warm and inviting space, I believe I will help transform students' opinions of reading that they already have at such a young age.
