This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our classroom represents a variety of cultural backgrounds from around the world. They are a group of students from very diverse families bringing a wonderful mix of culture, language, and ethnic traditions to share with everyone in our room and school.

Our classroom loves to learn about where we live.

We use Chromebooks, hands on projects, cooperative groups, research projects and more to discover the world around us, explore where we live, become better readers, and find success in all we do!

My Project

Fourth graders learn a lot about Geography... from the study of Wisconsin, learning about the 13 Colonies, The American Revolution, Westward Expansion, and physical features like mountain ranges and major waterways. This large classroom rug features the United States and will help us see all the regions of the United States and our relationship to these areas. This great visual tool would enhance our learning of the Great Lakes, major waterways, oceans, and state's neighbors. This resource would also allow us to make literature connections to the books we read. This larger than life rug would bring our learning out of the textbooks and place it on the floor right in front of us!
