My students come from a wide variety of backgrounds and home environments, but in our classroom, we love and learn together. My kiddos are 3 and 4-years-old and can make anyone smile. Disability does not equal ability, and every day we will work towards a bright and successful future.
Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best vary greatly.
We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are!
Opening a new classroom is fun and exciting. One of the most important aspects of any classroom is a comfortable "escape" where little learners can have quiet time and relax. The reading area is the place for kiddos to come and relax, grab a book, and de-stress from the day. Since the classroom is new, furnishing this area would be an amazing addition.
The reading puppets and other song and story materials will also help my students engage in this area.
Little ones are such visual learners that items like this really go a long way.
I have seen how choice can positively affect my students work and demeanor and hope that the additional options will help us grow even more!
