My Project

The students within my class are three-years-old and are a group of hands-on explorers! My little learners love to explore different materials while on the floor, using their whole bodies to engage in activities to promote their overall development. Along with this, my three-year-olds are still learning to manage their emotions and do so in the cozy corner, where they are able to take a break in a comfortable area with cushions and sensory items.

Funding my project will help my students in their learning by providing them with a comfortable and aesthetically calming place to learn.

Adding a new carpet into my classroom will help my students during whole group time, small group time, and independent time. In our meeting area, students will be able to have the comfort of sitting on our new carpet to engage in whole group learning, as well as learning with their peers. They will be able to move around as they build on a soft surface, using blocks and floor puzzles. This project will also assist my students during movement, as well as during our yoga and meditation time. Lastly, having a new carpet in our cozy corner will create a comfortable place for my students to calm their bodies and emotions.
