This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The flexible sitting will entice students into the reading area. My classroom library area is where we meet and share good stories and books with each other. I want my students to love reading like I do. The students need a place where they feel at home and comfortable to sit and read and enjoy their books. The bilingual books will help them learn and share bilingual books with each other. They will enjoy learning both English and Spanish and being in a culture-rich library and classroom. The variety of books will let students choose a book they will enjoy and keep them interested. Throughout the years, I have seen how students enjoy being able to sit on a preferred seat and pick the book of their choice.
