My Students

It is hard to describe a typical day in my classroom because I like to mix it up a lot! It is my goal every year to challenge and engage students in a variety of ways, especially through projects and real-world examples.

My students come from all different backgrounds and it is really interesting to see them all learning together and from each other.

My students are honors students, so I have to always find new ways of keeping them challenged and engaged.

My Project

Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. My classroom is a fully flexible seating classroom. There are many areas in my room for students to sit comfortably and stay focused.

An area that is lacking is my floor seating.

Currently, we have a floor table and some sub par floor seating. By adding these chairs, we will create an area in the front of my classroom that students will actually want to sit at!

My students and I had a classroom discussion on the types of chairs that they would like for the floor area and these are the ones they landed on! They are excited to transform the room even more to fix our weakest area!
