Mrs. Warren from Mobile AL is requesting flexible seating through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need three wobble chairs and six comfy floor seats to help them learn without being stuck in those pesky desk chairs all of the time.

I have 22 of the most enthusiastic students who want to dive deeper into learning on a daily basis. They work collaboratively together and are sharing new ideas. They thrive to become productive citizens in our classroom who can share new knowledge. My students love to learn in areas of the room that are most comfortable for them. In order to make learning an adventure for them, I would love the opportunity to add more flexible seating into the classroom. They are growing learners and I want to be able to give them a great start to a successful new year.
My students are very eager in learning new adventures.
I want them to experience and explore a world of flexibility while putting forth their best effort in learning. Sitting in desks is the old school way of learning, but here in the 21st century, students learn best when they are comfortable. Stability balls, yoga mats, bean bag chairs, and many other ways of flexible seating can make an extravagant impact on the engaged learning that my students strive to have.
The wobble chairs will allow my students who can't sit still in desk chairs to sit and listen or complete independent work. This will minimize the disruptions in the classroom. The comfy floor seats will allow the students an opportunity to grab a seat and sit anywhere in the classroom to aid in learning. These materials will not directly teach my students new skills, but they will help prime them for learning in all content areas while choosing which space in the room is best for them.
The donations for this project will improve my classroom by reducing the amount of behavioral issues, and allow the students the opportunity to sit in an area that best suits them and their learning.
With less behavioral issues, we can increase our learning and time on task. I'm looking forward to seeing my students more engaged and ready to learn.
