I love the fact that despite my students difficulties and the diverse background that they come from they strive to learn everyday. They are struggling readers and writers due to their learning disabilities. Some of my 6th grade students have English as a second language in addition to having a learning disability. Because they have such diverse learning styles it is important to include hands on learning with these awesome eager to learn kids. Making strides in learning towards closing the gap.
These materials will help these students to do interactive notes with the card stock paper, the expo pens allow them to practice writing skills before they are ready to start the actual writing on paper. We go through lots of expo pens while we practice skills. The table top tablet allows for collaboration and sharing. They will use the paper for graphic organizers to build up to writing their best writing. So you can see where these materials would be helpful to increase vocabulary, grow writing skills, practice working collaboratively and have enough supplies for the whole class to use at once.
