Help me give my students basic supplies such as mini books, pencils, and colored pencils for writing and creating stories and dry erase markers and erasers for small group learning.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
The children I teach are a wonderful group of 5th graders who are lovable, creative, and strong-willed, and they want to try new things. The children come from various backgrounds and educational levels, but all strive to do their best and learn.
I am looking for activities to provide my students with meaningful learning experiences to help continue to grow their minds and challenge them.
Some of the children have very limited opportunities, and the more I can expose them to at school, the better off they will be.
My Project
I have a class full of wonderful 5th graders with a range of ability levels, from SPED, Gifted, EIP, and General Ed. My children love to learn and are excited about all opportunities.
Some of my children do not even have the basics that are needed for daily classwork, so I am hoping to get materials that will inspire the children and aid in helping us with our creative writing activities.
With these materials we will create our own narrative stories in our personal books. We will use the color pencils for the illustrations of our stories. The dry erase markers and erasers will make life easier when we are using our dry erase boards in our small groups. We have to share markers and erasers and with these materials everyone will have their own.
