This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our Title I school is full of wonderful students that come from all walks of life. Many of them participate in the free and reduced-price breakfast and lunch program. Even though we have students that have a difficult time bringing the basic supplies to school, they come to school ready and eager to learn.
Our students enter the doors of our colorful school knowing that the staff is prepared to help them reach their potential of being college and career ready.
My Project
Several teachers at my school have their students use composition notebooks for a variety of things. They use them as interactive notebooks, note taking, and/or word study activities.
With our area being impacted by Hurricane Florence, we have families in our county that had severe damage to their homes or have been displaced completely.
We want to have some composition notebooks, pencils, and pencils pouches for our students that will need some new school supplies. We also want to make sure we have some on hand for any new students that enter our welcoming doors.
This project is very important. Having gone through a stressful and scary event, we want to make sure our students do not have to stress over having the necessary supplies for school. Thank you for believing in this project and helping to bring notebooks, pencils, and pencil pouches to our students.
