Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach 25 energetic and ready-to-learn kindergarten students.
For most of my students, this is their first school experience, and I want for it to be a memorable one!
Kindergarten is one of the first foundations for the rest of their educational careers, and your kind donation will help me maximize their experiences in my class.
Our school is located in Los Angeles, California. We are a 100% Title I school which means all of our students qualify for free meals.
My Project
The materials I am requesting will be used throught the year to make art and craft projects. I like to create memory books for my students. These scrapbooks are given to them at the end of the year. Student's create and art project each month to be added to their book, along with a picture.
Parents and families love to see how their children have grown from when they begin Kindergarten in August to June.
I love to see how their faces light up when they see their child's memory book. It's something I hope they treasure for years!
I have requested dot paints, googly eyes, pipe cleaners, and glitter glue to create crafts that will be added to these memory books. Best of all I requested Lakeshore crayons, they are big and great for little hands to hold and color with.
