Getting Ahead with Headphones and Clipboards

Help me give my students headphones to help my students concentrate on learning without distractions and clipboards to take our classroom outside for a change of scenery.

My Students

My amazing students are 11 and 12-year-olds who come from low-income households. These kids come to school eager to learn, explore, and share stories.

I want to build a classroom environment where my students feel safe, invested, and accepted for who they are and for their beliefs.

I want to build a classroom where there are wonderful resources and areas for them to explore and learn. A classroom that is inspiring and where they can focus on learning.

My Project

My students are fortunate enough to have computers that they use daily in class for learning. Having their own headphones would help cancel out other noises, which would help my students concentrate on what they are learning without worrying about other things happening in the classroom.

Students have been learning at home and have become accustomed to not having to sit at a desk for long periods of time.

With flexible seating or the ability to move learning outdoors with the clipboards, we would be creating an environment where students feel more comfortable learning and completing their work the way they feel comfortable.
