My students need vocabulary activities including Hot Dots Vocabulary Quiz Cards, 5-Minute Vocabulary Practice Cards and the Wireless Eggspert Classroom Game System to keep them engaged during centers.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Most of my students come to school with well below average vocabularies. I want to provide them with a fun learning experience to increase their vocabulary while getting them up and active.
We are a low income school in the city, and our scholars face many challenges in and outside of the classroom.
However, the positive and driven vibe that spreads within our school will inspire anyone to work hard to make sure each scholar meets their goal. My fifth graders are an amazing group of scholars. They love to learn, crave challenges, and each have a goal be college graduatea.
My Project
Children love to play games. My scholars love it when they get to get out of their seats, move around, and learn at the same time. The scholars will be able to use the requested games, including Hot Dots Vocabulary Quiz Cards, 5-Minute Vocabulary Practice Cards and the Wireless Eggspert Classroom Game System to build up their vocabulary knowledge, get them active, as well as working on their higher level thinking skills. I am requesting games focusing on skills such as vocabulary, homophones, antonyms, text structure, and idioms.
These games will engage my students in learning new vocabulary skills and come up with meanings while having fun.
Learning vocabulary will not only impact them now, but also later on in life after they graduate from high school and college.
