Getting Active At Recess

My students need basketballs, soccer balls, playground balls and a set of Chinese jump ropes.

My Students

Our students go outside every day for recess but they do not have any recess equipment to play with. Giving them new equipment will help get them active! Please help make recess fun again!

My school's student body is so diverse and come from all walks of life!

83% of my students are economically disadvantaged and 22% of my students are English Language Learners. The multicultural mix of my students is what I love most about the students I teach!

My Project

Our students would have the opportunity to use the equipment everyday during their lunch recess. We are going to line the school yard so that areas will be designated for specific activities. The most difficult decision a student will have to make is which game or activity they want to play in on any given day! The students will use the soccer balls, footballs and basketballs in an organized recess setting.

This project will reach all 530 students in our K-8 school.

Giving children something fun to use on a daily basis will keep them active, engaged and teach them how to play with one another!
