This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Although I teach at a Title I school in Tuscaloosa, Alabama where 100 percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch, my students AND their families are full of life and energy about their capabilities. My students ARE "the change you want to see in the world." They are also passionate, smart, and capable. My students are eager about learning and accomplishing the goals they have set for themselves. It is an honor to witness them grow and prosper everyday and an even more amazing thing to be a part of. They exceed my expectations for them daily and give me such joy about what I do every day.
My Project
Technology has become a pivotal tool for effective and engaging group teaching and learning. It has the potential to promote literacy and reading in an innovative and exciting fashion. The Chromebook I am requesting will be used across the curriculum (all subjects). I have discovered countless strategies that will capture the students' attention and provide entertainment while they are learning.
Technology is used every day; therefore, it is important that I introduce various software, Internet applications, and technological equipment to my students and enhance their learning.
The Chromebook will not only add to what they will learn, but also give more of my students the opportunity to use technological devices.
