This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The future of the world is in my classroom today! One of the reasons I love teaching is that I get the chance to work with and influence the future leaders of our world. Every single day, I make it a point to remind my kids that they are leaders, champions, and world-changers. I want my kids to know they are special, loved, and valued. I want to be able to continuously improve my teaching each year to ensure that my students will reach their dreams!

My Project

I would LOVE to attend the Get Your Teach On conference. I will be learning new research-based strategies for student engagement, classroom management, as well as reading, math, writing, and vocabulary instruction. I will spend two days with, Hope King and Wade King, along with other expert presenters as they share their passion and enthusiasm for education and give me their tips, tricks, best practices, and teacher secrets to building a successful and engaging classroom.

I will leave feeling empowered, challenged, motivated, equipped, and prepared to create dynamic and engaging lessons that will challenge my students and leave them hungry for more.

I will also be able to come back to my school and share what I have learned so they can implement these strategies with their students. These funds will go towards my registration fee and lodging for the days I am there. Thank you for considering my project!
