Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have a wide variety of students. Some who come from good homes and others who I know I am the main positive influence in their life. I have several ADHD students not on medicine, students who struggle with anger, fact fluency and getting along with each other, hence my main goal of classroom community! The school that I work for is amazing, I couldn't have asked for a better teacher community. They are always there for me, consistently helping me with the items I need to improve on and we all get along really well, which I think is important within a school.
My Project
Being able to go to the "Get Your Teach On" Conference next summer, will be beneficial for me as a teacher but for my students of the future. Attending the conference will allow me to engage and challenge my students in unique and rigorous ways, allowing them to take ownership of their own learning.
Creating magic within the classroom, by incorporating all subject areas will allow my classroom to come alive.
I will learn new and innovative ways to teach outside of the box and hone in on engaging my students, where learning in their seats is a thing of the past. I want them learning out of their seats, jumping and dancing, questioning "what are we going to do in Ms. Cosner's class today" a thing of the future.
